WHITE GUY

Battle Rap / Midwest Hip-Hop / Recovery Rap Solo · Rust Belt, Midwest (US)

WHITE GUY is a Battle Rap / Midwest Hip-Hop / Recovery Rap project — an outsider-MC persona built from a punchline that got flipped into a name. On stage, nobody expects the kid in the hoodie to be fast; nobody’s finished that joke since.

The joke was the bait — and you took it.

The project’s debut EP Scars On tells a recovery story in five chapters: the arrival, the fall, the fight, the love, the rise — a layoff, a relationship that collapses, dependency, and the years without a single verse that follow. Not a polished comeback narrative: a field report on rock bottom and what it takes to write again.

The battle technique never left: stacked multisyllabics, tempo switches, punchlines with delayed fuses. But on Scars On the opponent isn’t another MC — it’s addiction, shame, and the voice that replays every failure at 4 AM.

Track two carries the thesis, and it runs through everything the project has ever recorded: Numb ain’t healed. Being numb is not being better. The only way out is through.

WHITE GUY doesn’t preach. It reports — and leaves the hallway light on for everyone still sitting in the dark.
